Life, for the singer, is a paradoxical experience, full of both good and bad moments. He encourages the listener to simply stand still and experience the beauty of the sunset, the dirt under their feet, and the speed at which we all hurtle through space. The song takes a philosophical turn in the bridge, as the singer reflects on the vastness of the universe, and how we are all lost in its symphony. The chorus becomes a mantra for the singer to remember, as he encourages himself to simply stand still and experience the present moment, no matter how difficult it may be. ![]() His grandfather tells his father that life only gets harder with time, and that the best course of action is stillness in the midst of chaos. He acknowledges that things have not changed much, but he is nevertheless counting each day that he remains sober, taking each day as it comes. In the second verse, the singer laments that though he has been sober for six months, he still feels immense pain in his life. However, his father reassures him, telling him that when he is lost or unsure of his direction, he should simply stand still, and eventually, things will become clearer. The only thing that he feels will remain of him are his songs. He states that death is looming at his doorstep, and he feels overwhelmed by it. The first verse begins with the singer reflecting on his own mortality, expressing a fear that he may not make it past his twentieth birthday. The song "Noah" by is a reflective and introspective piece that explores the themes of mortality, addiction, and the need for stillness in the face of life's challenges.
